What does contactless payment mean?
Contactless payment can be used for a total purchase price of up to NOK 500. With contactless payment, a payment transaction is carried out by holding the card close to the payment terminal without entering the PIN code. The payment is transferred via wireless communication between the card and the terminal. The terminal indicates with a sound and light signal when the transaction is successful. You can pay contactless at all payment terminals marked with the contactless payment symbol (bow symbol).
My card was declined, what do I do?
If your card has been declined and you have sufficient funds on your account, you can try a new card and start the charging session again.
Do I need a PIN code if my card has a contactless payment function?
You need a PIN code if the purchase price is higher than NOK 500. Sometimes the payment terminal requires a PIN code even if the sum is lower than NOK 400 to check that the card is in the hands of its rightful owner.
